Max PLUMLEY

Max Plumley is know for his large-scale balloon installations and digital manipulation of painstakingly rendered graphite drawings. Such works pay tribute to micro, nano and molecular landscapes found within the realms of biological and chemical research. His two-dimensional works reflect the forms and perspectives light and electron microscopy afford us of nature's most minuscule topographies. While his installations, are an attempt to upscale microscopic and nanoscopic aesthetics to fit within a human environment, simultaneously paying homage to the imperceptible complexity of tiny surfaces and an allusion to the misconceptions and flawed predictions found within speculative and science fiction.
